Maybe its a HD which consumes a lot of power. In my case, the HD keeps
spinning, but there seems to be a problem with my SCSI interface, at
least the internal side. According to the technician at Mutec, a scsi
card is able to support an internal HD.
Mostly, when a HD stops spinning, there is a problem with the scsi cable.
I always thought that the internal scsi bus is just parallel to the
external one, but this is not true. As far as I can see, only data
signals are the same. The control signals come from different pins on
the controller chip.
Maybe someone else has more experience with that.
