S1100 Won't Power Up

S1100 Won't Power Up

2011-11-09 by Popp

Hi there,

I've had this S1100 in storage for a long time, and finally got it out to find that it doesn't want to turn on at all.

I opened it up and checked the fuses, which were all intact, so it must be something else. The wiring to one of the XLR connectors on the front has broken, would this be a cause of the machine refusing to turn on? It seems very unlikely that it would.

Does anybody have any suggestions or ideas of how i can track down the problem?

Thanks.

Hmmm...not sure but possibly you might find better help at the Akai sampler forum. From what I hear the 1100 is a great machine...
