Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

This is kind of weird problem... When in Select program menu I load a volume and play the samples they all sound distorted except for say the original sample C3 it is like when they are pitched they are severly distorted... When in the edit sample page and I audition the sample with the ENT/PLAY button they play fine.... Mind you I have not used the sampler in awhile and the last thing I did was upgrade the eprom O/S to 4.04...

Okay I managed to resolve the issue... When I first installed the O/S epromms I had installed them in the wrong IC slots and found that the original IC's were swapped incorrectly MSB & LSB... Can't recall the IC numbers but when I swapped them around the distortion was gone... Glad I did not destroy anything... At the moment I am building a MIDIBox SEQV4 to sequence the S-1000... If anyone is into DIY this sequencer is next level stuff if you want to work OTB...
