Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

Hi all,

I just bought an s1100 off of ebay and I was wondering if it is
possible, (rather than buying a zip drive for extra storage) to just
connect the scsi port to my desktop g4? I am looking to solve some
storage issues so any of your help would be great.

I have akai connected to my scsi card on PC and it works..
But the drive must be in AKAI format.. So if you want to store on HD
then HD needs to be formated by AKAI sampler, so you can't use HD for
 other stuff.. only for sampler..
