Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

Hi, I have a Akai 1000, been thinking of adding an internal zip drive....
I would want to change the floppy with the iomega zip...
I must buy a scsi or ide zip? there are compatibility problems? I can insert a iomega zip drive  without the ib.103?

hi,

first:
you need the scsi-card..and a scsi-zip
2nd:i did once the same with my S1100 , replacing the flop with 
zip...you have to take off a lot of screws!!25 i remember..
and..beware of the "click of death" with zipdrives..
never ever do a "format" with the s1000 ..do a arrange (quick format)  
and just one partition of 60mb
