Anyone here have a version higher than 2.0 of the s1000 manual? Akai released Firmware versions all the way up to 4.40 with lots of changes and features but I have never seen a manual that explaines any of these changes or features. Also I have the 4.40 Eproms if anyone needs some, maybe trade for a 4.40 manual?.?. Rich

That's interesting due to the fact that the HD version has a more updated manual. I don't think Akai released OS updates without addendium updates. Pewee I may have the s1100 service man I will look for you, have you ever had any luck with the bank loading feature via SCSI HD or zip disc? The bank loading feature is susposed to load the desired bank from the HD OR zip based on messages from a outboard sequencer. Anyone use this feature and can share good or bad function? Also how do I save changes to the Midi setup so each time I boot up I don't have to manually re-set them? Is this part of saving the system back to disc? This maybe a strange question but I have always had the s1000KB and never needed to do this, now I am using the rack and every time I boot it up my sequencer can't see it so I have to manually set the Midi CH. the HD OR zip based on messages from a outboard sequencer.
