S.O.S s-1000 + scsi hd problems

1-I connect an internal hd seagate 2gb in my s1000 I arrange or formtat the scsi HD and say HD IS... AND FOR USE but when I want to save some data SAY HD BAD SECTOR OR HD NOT READY. 2- I put HD in ID5 AND akai s-1000 in ID6 3- How can i do the partitions 4- Is nesesary I format the HD in a Pc sorry from my english Gustavo from the devastator BUENOS AIRES
