Here's a good one you might want to try. It is an example of a pattern
gradually changing - depending on the events used you could "morph" a
pattern quite drastically but let's start with a simple gate example.
Create a six step sequence. Set Aux A to be the event "Mask
Gate,dAcc>n" and set each step aux value as follows:
10 20 30 40 50 60
Then set the Aux D accumulator to increment (rel) on step 6 by a value
of 5 (so each time this is passed, the counter goes up by 5).
Set the Aux D accumulator limit to around 65 for now in the config
menu.
Play the sequence. At first it is all masked - because the accumulator
has not reached the level of the lowest value - so you hear nothing.
Once the counter reaches 10, you hear the first step. As we are adding
5 each time, you hear this for two passes before the next step is
added. The sequence is now gradually filled in as it plays.
What it does once all steps are active depends on your Acc Config
settings. So you can make it start again from silence, or .... well,
give it a try and see....
Experiment with different limits for the accumulator. Giving it a
higher limit means the patter will play for longer before resetting.
Shifting the individual values higher will mean a longer period of
silence before the notes start to come in. Try making larger
differences between the steps or smaller accumulator chunks - all
offer fun variations. And, of course, you could put the Gate,dAcc>n
event in Aux D itself and change the values incrementally.. 8-)
