I don't know if the surface is meant to look mirrored, but that would be cool ;-) (although I think 'scratch paranoia' might be a problem) Ergonomically, I'm not sure about the data and tempo knobs above the display - that means your hand will obscure the data you are trying to adjust. I've spent ages trying to find a layout I like better than the standard one (better for usability rather than looks). Maybe it's just because I'm so used to that layout, but I find I can't improve it within the constraint of fitting a 4U 19" rack. As Paul mentioned, the step key mode switch has a shortcut with FUNC that you can't do one handed with the mode switches on the left side. I have put those switches in that location on two of the older P3s I upgraded, but I think I prefer them on the right of the step keys - it seems more naturally suited to a right handed user. I wonder if left-handed people would prefer the keypad on the other side ? Cheers, Colin f
