Heyup guys,
been a while since I bored you with a new P3 sequence but today is the
day.
http://deepbass.demon.co.uk:81/Paul/mp3/
This one is called P3_Stoned37.mp3 and is made using the following
cool trick:
First make a groovy sequence in a muted track.
Then get the other tracks set up with Aux C to getting ALL from that
track.
Aux A for each track should be setup to increment Aux D rel
Aux B should be set to mute Aux C>Aux D accumulator.
Then make each sequence in each track different. But as the P3 plays
and Aux D increases, the sequences get more and more like the groovy
muted sequence. If you set the Aux D behaviour to reverse, they go
back again eventually. Sounds ace - this is just a recording of part
of it because I set the D accumulator to only increase gradually.
You can do cool things muting and unmuting tracks, vary the Aux D
limits for each pattern and also the amount that Aux D is
incrememented in each pattern. Then mess with the limits for masking -
so the morph doesn't occur evenly or even the same on all tracks.
All these things just kick ass especially as all tracks have their own
basic sequence going that, over time, tend to graduate towards the
common, unheard sequence.
Not sure the example truly demos this as I was fiddling about as ever.
But try out the same thing and see how much fun it is...
Or not. It's sunny, after all.
