I so often do. And of an entirely different track to the one I intend
to mess with. Just in case I want to do something truly outlandish.
And because I can, I do.

Anyway, joking aside, we've eliminated the (achievable) bulk of what I
ever wanted from a sequencer a long time ago. And when I say we, I
mean you, of course. The P3 has grown into, for me, a monster live
improvisational tool. And it's the most inspirational creator of
complex sequences I ever used in the studio. I've played and loved the
Notron but the P3 is way, way further out there in terms of what it
can do. I would happily take it onstage totally empty and be confident
of creating several hours worth of cool loops. I can't think of any
other piece of gear that could do the same. In fact it's changed my
way of working irrevocably - the computer remains turned off except
when mastering CDs. Cubase is dormant now. Everything I do is
sequenced on the P3 and played manually in a single performance. Like
the old days. And I'm more productive than ever - especially with a
bunch of other musos in the studio ready to jam. Sigh...

I guess this is my clumsy way of saying, publicly, "thanks" for
putting up with all my wild and wacko requests. And implementing them
so fast, accurately and better than I imagined. The end result is
awesome and if there's anything I can do to further the cause, I will.
