the expressionist is awesome for playing and for polyphony, but it only
has 8 cv out and 8 gate out. the doepfer has a total of 24 cv outs, and
apparently any of these can be used as gates. i think this would offer
more flexibility when controlling an a-100 from the p3... but that's just
me. another factor to consider is that the expressionist is on 1/4" jacks
and the mcv is on 1/8" like the rest of the a-100 modules. having the
jacks on the front is a nice boon too.
