You can re-use two of the pins on the DIN socket so it can double as 
midi in, but there aren't enough pins to provide midi out there too.

You don't have to drill holes if you really dont want to - the midi 
wires could be routed out through either the battery door, or by 
removing the 'mix in' socket.
