This is probably an obvious one but sometimes you don't always think
of those.
I wanted to set up two alternate basslines in one of my banks but in
the heat of the concert I can't always remember which track is doing
what function. Therefore I wanted to prevent the two tracks playing at
the same time cos it is a bassline after all. All I did was add a Mute
Track event in the first step using one of the auxes, each one
referring to the other track. Now whenever I select one of the track
pairs, it mutes the other without me having to remember it.
Useful eh? If there were a "Mute if Gate on trk n" event you could
duck tracks according to other instruments - like closed and open high
hats maybe... 8)
