I think the kit market is probably a lot more limited than the ready-built market, but I like building things myself, so I can relate to people who would enjoy putting a kit together. If it isn't too time consuming, I'll keep the kits going. I will need to differentiate between home and factory assembled units as far as the second-hand buyer is concerned (not that I expect many people will sell them ;) - I have no quality control over the way a kit is put together. So I'll be applying different serial numbers to kit and ready-built CPUs from now on. Ready-built units will have a serial number starting with an odd digit, kits will be even. The first ready-built production unit is serial number #1001. The numbers will be written in the CPU flash, and will be displayed on power on. I have plans to allow older CPUs to have a serial number entered, via secure codes so there'll not be a dozen P3 number 1's turning up on eBay a few years down the line ;-) Cheers, Colin f
