Richard, As someone who uses both I feel fairly qualified to answer this with a resounding 'yes'. When I got the P3 I thought I'd be able to sell the MAQ, but it is still useful to have a discrete knob for each note on each track for tweaking in performance. By way of contrast, the P3 is more of a set-up your notes in advance and edit patterns kind of unit. I find they complement each other, but may end up just using the P3 to reduce the amount of gear needed for a gig, especially if when the promised 'sticky' keys arrive.
