That's what I thought, but I thought I'd ask. However: since it presumably responds to START (as in: go from 1|1|000) then it has some notion of resetting (in terms of some kind of global bar sync)? I seem to recall from somewhere that it treats CONTINUE as START, so I guess one can record a P3 into a software sequencer just by lining up to some notional first bar line, whereever it might be in the piece.
