I can't really see me adding CV/gate internally.
To get a reasonable number of channels, you end up with a load of connectors
on the back.

There's little practical difference between a processor-based hardware
sequencer with MIDI driving a MIDI to CV convertor, and a similar sequencer
with native CV/Gate output. You could argue that a heavily laden MIDI bus
could introduce timing errors that you might notice, which a CV native
sequencer wouldn't.
If/when I get the multiple MIDI output mod working, then dedicating one MIDI
output to a CV convertor for one synth will give you a maximum latency of
less than 5ms, which is to all intents and purposes instant.

I've got a MIDI to CV convertor kit in the works, which will be do the job
nicely.
