Analogue-sequencer

I was playing around this morning with an idea and I wanted to use
the cascading auxes feature to implement it.

I started with a simple example:

Track 1: poke in some notes
Track 2: 2 steps long
-- step 1: Aux A: auxes to track 1
-- step 2: Aux B: offset note rel +6

I started the P3 with tracks 1 and 2 enabled.  What I wanted to hear 
was the notes on track 1 transposing up by +6 every time step 2 of 
track 2 was hit.  (I chose this event just to see if I could hear
what was happening before I used other events).

Empirical evidence says this is the wrong way to do it since I didn't 
hear any transposition take place.

Is there a working example of cascading auxes around?
