>>There are two types of MIDI note off message - '9c nn 00' and '8c nn vv', where c is channel, nn is note number and vv is velocity.<< I have a feeling that, if this is also the case with the notes that pass through the p3 (yes?) it may fix something odd that's happening with my elderly maq. I get a hanging note on one channel. the maq is playing notes on 11, 12 & 13 & I get a stuck note on channel 12 only. reliably. I mean, every time. pressing "stop" on the p3 doesn't do anything now because it's being clocked by something else.... could the "stop" botton be made to send an all-notes-off regardless of where the clock is coming from? but I will investigate the maq's behaviour a bit more closely too. I have another one I can try in the same slot, with the old firmware in it... which reminds me, I have to call emis today... :-( d.
