This was something my mate with a Supernova wanted so he could
increase filter env depth gradually but not go into negative amounts.
The solution we cunningly devised was to start with higher initial
values so that when it went back down, it only got as far as what he
intended to be zero.

So your notes would be pitched higher initially than you wanted, sorta
like you started your cycle mid-way through. Once it's been looping
for a few hours, you'll probably forget that... :)
