For example, a macro to set up a fixed chord across all the aux notes might take the main notes from the pattern. So if you want a C major 7, just set up C, E, G, B across the first 4 steps, then apply the macro and those notes will be copied to every step of each note - all primary notes would become C, aux A would be E, aux B would be G and aux C would be B - or the offset values for rel notes. Then you can tweak the root note to tune the chord. This sort of macro would also be useful for percussion patterns, since you could select the drum notes you wanted to use in the pattern, and copy them to each step - of course, you'd not want the steps turned on in that case. The macro menu will let me add in any other kinds of shortcut too, such as copying the current pattern to every other pattern in the track.
