HMMM   why dont you just send midi clock   out of the P3 to the 909?   that 
works like a charm :)

ill try   and test my 909   . din   in   see if i have the same behaviour.

i vaguely remember   having the 606 /808's   din out into   the 909s   din 
in. . then   using the 909's   midi clock   to   drive the p3. . it held   
togtether. .   i think??   then again   i   let a tr -505   fly out of my hands and 
dent my p3   keypad f1 switch (too much coffee   i swear)   so .. i might be 
wrong

anyone   use a microwave xt   with a   p3 ?   there a used one   up for grabs 
in the local paper , 
hmm says its   big & orange.
