I think it helps a lot that the 'basic' functionality doesn't rely on the LCD too much. Originally there weren't supposed to be quite so many softkeys, but it seemed quite painless to add them, so I guess we can keep thinking up new things until there gets to be too many pages. To be honest, there aren't too many more things I want to add. Certainly no more softkeys that I see a need for aside from 'bank init' in play mode. The access to 'mutes' in playlist edit, and 'playlist holds' in play mode will probably use the step key function select, since it isn't doing anything in those modes yet (except the VU/position toggle, but that cna move to knob function). That's so long as it doesn't get confusing for it to have so many different functions... Cheers, Colin f
