Colin, I take your point about the 3 character display which is why I suggested 'C -' (rather than 'C -1'). Obviously without 4 characters the range choice would be between 'C -' to 'G 9' (middle C4) or the current 'C 0' to 'G X'(middle C5). A large part of this request is perhaps due to the way I work as all Roland gear uses C4 as middle C and I use a MC-80 & MC-50 to directly record sequences I play in addition to the P3, very often I will 'read' part (or all) of a sequence from MC-80 display then enter the notes into the P3 for more aux work then re-record into the MC's etc. So you can see I can very easily get confused across octaves.
