Re: [analogue-sequencer] Schaltwerk or P3 ?

Olivier,

I'd say decide for the P3, here's a quick list:

- the P3 architecture needs a little if you want to do complex
things, but get into using P3 tracks/patterns/banks is done in 5minutes
- one can use the P3 easily for simultanious 8 tracks of x0x
programming (even more incombination with the patterns)
- colin improves the P3 OS constantly while the Schaltwerk is a dead
product
- its quite easy to use P3 along PC/mac sequencers
- doepfer stuff isn't that easy to control (I had a MAQ for long
time) so you might have a hard time with the schaltwerk and are stuck
while the P3 still grows in features
- I need to recapture some P3 features from time to time when rarely
used

having a SND analog step sequencer and a P3 I'd have all
possibilities of midi and CV controling here (I sold a FutureRetro
Mobius and MAQ as they couldn't stand next to P3)

hope some of my points help for a descision.

cheers,
henry
