Make sure MIDI clock is being sent from the output you have connected to the
P3 input, and P3 is stopped.
It will start running as soon as a MIDI start is received.

The P3 sync output is wired for both DIN sync and MIDI clock.
This only causes a problem for one instrument I know of - the 808.
The 808 uses pin 4 of the DIN socket for a non-standard 'RESET START' line.
MIDI output on that pin is 5 volts.
You need to break the connection between the P3 sync socket pin 4 and your
808's input.
