Very nice! I got the P3 to slave to QBase quite well. Looks like I forgot to activate midi clock out for that port. Thanks Colin! The 808 however will have to be synced by the Doepfer MCV24 instead until I can figure out how to cut the pins on the cable properly. It's very strange that the MCV24 works without having that 4th pin removed. Make sure MIDI clock is being sent from the output you have connected to the P3 input, and P3 is stopped. It will start running as soon as a MIDI start is received. > I also have my 808 connected to the P3 and it doesn't seem to > sync properly. > Is there a setting I missed for the synch24 output? The P3 sync output is wired for both DIN sync and MIDI clock. This only causes a problem for one instrument I know of - the 808. The 808 uses pin 4 of the DIN socket for a non-standard 'RESET START' line. MIDI output on that pin is 5 volts. You need to break the connection between the P3 sync socket pin 4 and your 808's input. This page shows the relevant pin numbers: http://www.philrees.co.uk/products/sync-if.htm Best regards, Colin Fraser Sequentix Music Systems Ltd http://www.sequentix.com Yahoo! Groups Links
