I mentioned this last time we met Colin, my display has the same 
problems - and It has been left on a long time. This is a 
characteristic of OLED displays. I am fortunate to be working on these 
at the minute at work (OSRAM displays) Time to half brightness has 
been the biggest issue for a long time with OLED. New processes have 
improved this - what happens in factories now is that they burn them 
in during production as the curve is quite steep when they are new. 
Screen savers or moving the text around has been discussed (only works 
with graphics modules though).

Best thing long term is to turn the brightness down when new - or turn 
the display off after a period of time.

LCD's with LED backlight are still the best choice for lifetime - 
despite viewing angle issues and contrast.
VFD's also suffer the same degradation over time that OLED suffers...

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
