I think length 13 was added after the last release, so it wont be in the
manual.
Anyway... a length of 13 means - hold this note until another note comes
along.
So if you have a step with gate turned on and length 13, the note will stay
on even if following steps are off, until the next active step.
Tie still works as normal, but stretches across inactive steps.
It's pretty cool.

Probably not... depends what a shuffle pattern means to you ?
