Personally I prefer to have CV convertor outputs remote from the P3, with a single MIDI cable carrying the data. 3 or 4 analogue synths can easily use 10 or more CV and gate leads, which would make for a lot of spaghetti round the back of P3. If you want CV conversion built-in, I don't see any major problem. I'd recommend you keep the power supplies separate, unless you're sure you know how to get the P3 and CV convertor to share the same supply.
