Has anyone out CV\gate outs on a P3?

Has anyone out CV\gate outs on a P3?

2007-02-07 by bambam4236

I am thinking with all the spare space inside the case that i might be
able to put in a midi\cv-gate converter to at least give me 1 or
hopefully more cv\gates out onboard.
Has anyone done this and if so what midi\cv did you use?
I'm hoping to install something that will have simple switches or
something to set midi chennels etc
Also Colin would there be any problem just piggy backing wiring from
one of the midi outs set of pads to the cv\gate unit?

cheers
Brett

I was also thinking about that. it looks like that Doepfer got some
small tools which would fit inside and can do that what you want to...
at the moment i help myself using a FutureRetro777, Schaltwerk or my
Voyager, which is a quiet expencieve Midi>Gate Converter....

Personally I prefer to have CV convertor outputs remote from the P3, with a
single MIDI cable carrying the data.
3 or 4 analogue synths can easily use 10 or more CV and gate leads, which
would make for a lot of spaghetti round the back of P3.

If you want CV conversion built-in, I don't see any major problem.
I'd recommend you keep the power supplies separate, unless you're sure you
know how to get the P3 and CV convertor to share the same supply.

I'd be interested to know which doepfer you were considering stefan.
I have dedicated midi\cv boxs but would love to have it on
board....another project to add to the lost ;)
