Well, given that the P3 has a kind-of song mode (via playlists) it would make sense if it were to track SPP, but I don't think it's personally worth the effort or code space; if the software sequencer is sync master then one can do the sums in one's head to work out what bar to start from such that the P3 is in the correct phase for the track. (Another nice-to-have P3 sequencer feature might be a configuration such that, if the P3 is master clock, it sends a SPP for a specific bar, rather than a START. Then one could work on specific parts of one's composition with the P3 in charge. But again, I don't think the lack of such is a show-stopper. It's never stopped any of MY shows...) -- N.
