  I think it's very unlikely that modern sequencers will allow *any* MIDI clock source to act as master clock. Cubase VST used to allow it but the feature was dropped when they went to SX, deemed inadequate to sync an audio-based app to. I imagine, like banks or insurance companies, these guys all think the same.
