yeah - there are per track input transformers that make it easy. There  
are even presets built in for channel filtering.

As far as routing multiple sequencers from various midi ports out to  
different synths, Cubase makes it rather easy, actually. Logic, for  
instance, makes it very difficult, which is one reason why I've  
switched over to Cubase 4.
