For 13p each, I'd be expecting them to come round and solder them in for me.

I don't want to sound like a grumpy old man, but I can remember going into
Maplin (many years ago...) with the BoM I'd worked out for my 6502 based, 8
channel MIDI to CV convertor.
They had every single part in stock, except for one value of resistor.
Nowadays you're lucky if you can get anything more than a spare phono plug
without having to get it ordered in.
Rapid are better, cheaper and faster.
The only sucky thing about Rapid is their anything-BUT-Rapid website...
