At the moment, nothing is final except that there will be some native CV output. The CPU itself has a built-in 12 bit DAC, so it would be daft not to at least have 2 channels of CV/gate. A couple of years ago, I did some analysis on MIDI latency in relation to triggering percussion sounds. Cirklon will have 16 tracks, and the means to create dedicated percussion patterns, x0x-style. The outcome of that testing was that I decided I need at least 16 to 24 channels of accent/trigger outputs to drive percussion sounds where every channel can be updated in less than 2ms and preferrably less than 1ms. Internal generation of those triggers seems like a much better idea than trying to arrange some way of sending data to a MIDI to CV convertor in advance, to be clocked out at the right instant. This sort of thing will most likely be available as an optional card. Not everyone wants to stump up for the necessary extra circuitry.
