I have two p3s & three maqs, amongst other things. it's like having different sorts of pans in y'r kitchen, or a blender aswell as a hand-held food mixer.

the maq is better at some things, but absolutely crap at others. together (e.g. using the p3 to FTS the maq's output) they are great.

I can't use a midi controller on the p3 to change the length of three patterns at the same instant, while someone else changes the notes; sure, I can probably program the p3 to do this stuff on it's own, but I'm in a band & we do things collaboratively.
