Is it the backlight that's getting dimmer, or the contrast of the characters
on the display ?
If it's the backlight, have you got the right resistor value in R19 ?
It should be 47ohms for the white on blue LCD displays.
A lower value would let more current through the backlight, which could
cause the LEDs to age prematurely.
If it's the contrast, it could just be that the trimmer on the mainboard
needs to be adjusted.
