Hi Colin,

Many thanks for the reply.. Its not the contrast, as I've had a good play with the trimmer - as for the resistor, well this model already had a resistor in r19, (its the black pre-production unit #004)
and to be fair, it didn't cross my mind to check the value of the resistor when I put the display in, I guess I'll pull it apart tomorrow and have a look.. sounds like I'll be needing another display though..
