Apologies for the continuing delay. I have updated the web page now. The first batch of production enclosures was 50 units, and those arrived in late September. To coincide with their arrival, I ordered all required stock of other parts to assemble the full run. The plan was to assemble the first 10 units by hand to document the assembly process, then have the rest of the run factory assembled. The supplier of the encoder knobs (of which 950 were needed) only came up with 100 or so, and a lead-time for the remainder of 'early December'. Another small quantity of knobs has arrived since, but the lead time for the rest has now slipped to later this month, with more to follow next month. I have been in contact with the Taiwanese maker of the knobs directly, and had samples of an almost-identical part available from stock, but the were just slightly to loose to stay on the encoder shafts. They offered to do a run of the correct part for me on a 6-week lead time (and an extra tooling fee), but at that point, it looked like Farnell were going to have them sooner. So the present situation is that I have enough knobs to assemble a further 6 units, which can ship this month. I'll be in contact with those at the top of the waiting list as they become ready. As soon as the knob supply problem is resolved, the ETA for the rest of the first run should become clear. I'm not keen on taking pre-payment or deposits, but it could speed up the delivery timescale if I did. I want to get a bit more video uploaded first, so that people can be clear just what they're getting. Best regards, Colin Fraser Sequentix Music Systems Ltd http://www.sequentix.com
