hi Colin, > Let me know if this seems like an improvement... > It still needs a method for reseting the playlist to the start at > any point. This might replace the quick direction change as the > function of RUN+track while in play mode with P3 running. it took a bit of getting acquainted with but i like it..it does seem that this FW-update definately needs a memory wipe & restore before it works correctly; before i did this my P3 didn't start when RUN was hit the first time (it did after i hit STOP then RUN again) and the tempo went haywire a few times. no problems after the memory wipe and dumping it back though. about the RUN+track while in play mode; what does this do at the moment? i'm getting the impression that it restarts the pattern playing in the playlist at the moment..pretty cool performance feature :) dunno if it's supposed to happen though.. another few things, about the DATA-pot (nothing of major importance though). would it be at all possible to replace this with an alpha dial? i think i might prefer this in terms of ease-of-use.. and when using it with the SCULPT function, would it be possible to edit the value before you actually implement the sculpt? so you could set the knob to a specific value and only then apply this value instead of setting it on the fly. i know i could do this by setting the randomize base value to the value i want and setting it's range to 1 (strange things happen when range is set to 0), but it seems kind of unlogical to do it like that.. and would it also be possible to have SCULPT and RANDOMIZE affect only active pattern steps? preferably as a soft/keycombo function, as i wouldn't want to lose the RANDOMIZE as it is at the moment. sorry about the continuing barrage of wishes & questions; you really should never have mentioned that there's a whole 25% of system ROM left...:) grtz Chiel
