The CVIO can also be used for drum triggers if you want. The dedicated drum trigger output uses the DIN SYNC socket. DIN sync normally has three digital pins, a ground pin and one spare pin. I used the spare pin for a CV output. In drum-mux mode, the three DIN sync pins are much like a one-way SPI interface, with the gate triggers as the data bits and the accent CVs multiplexed in sync with the SPI clock. The drum-trigger board is a de-multiplexer for this output. Cheers, Colin
