Do I presume it right that  need to go to the "Rcv Sysex" page (where 
you can send and receive banks etc.) and enable it? Or does loading the 
OS need a different config?

The problem is probably software related, especially now we 
know you're using a Mac. ;P  

I already updated your P3 several times with success, so the 
hardware is okay, I guess.

Or maybe a bad MIDI cable?

You power up holding Function and Page to load a new OS.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
