v3.597

Folks,

The new firmware beta version finally implements that 'set lstep
abs' and 'set lstep rel' events, which modify the current 'last
step' setting for each track, to dynamically change the current
pattern length.
This is just about the last extra feature on my current TBI list.
There are a few more events to add, but these will just modify
existing status values.
I'm planning to take a break from P3 coding for a while to get some
other stuff done, so if there's something you're desperately waiting
for, you might like to remind me now...

Cheers,
Colin f

ok, i didn't dare to ask, but my two wishes:

1. Midisync: Treat Continue as Start
Your quick fix made little improvement, but I still have some
problems, so I don't need the P3 to react correct to continue with
all the song-pointer stuff etc. as I always start at the begginning
of a bar. So it would be nice, if the P3 would just start if it
receives a continue signal.

2. Set Vel Rel
I'd like to have the possibility to exlude certain steps from beeing
Vel-Accumulated, you once mentioned this could be done by setting the
Vel Rel for these steps to 0 (Zero) and all other steps have the Vel
accumulated. Or maybe by adding a AddAuxDToVel event. What I like to
do is have certain steps at fixed vel, and others steps getting more
and more accent.

And now that you mentioned it, yes I am really desperately waiting
for these two things.

Cheers,
Stoffel

hi kids,
personally i do use the X to prevent transposition/note-accumulation
as you can use this for neat transposing melodies, but i've also come
across the need/wish to prevent velocity or auxD accumulation, much
as Stoffel says.

btw the 'repeat'-events are cool! saves me having to use several
patterns to do drum rolls & hihat patterns 'n' stuff..a nice trick is
to set the 'repeat'N value to it's maximum, and then playing around
with note lengths to have the repeats drop in at will; setting note
length to 3 will give you 4 repeats, note length at 4 gives you a
quick triplet and so on...great fun. also rather cute when combined
with different note delay values :)

Maybe a user config option that alters the behaviour of the X row? I
personally don't use X to prevent transposition but I would use it if,
instead, it protected from accumulation (of any kind).
