Hello everybody, my name is Ilja Thomassen, I live in The Netherlands
and I recently joined this group when I came across Colin's website
(through a dutch synth magazine, article on modding analog synths...)
I'm VERRY interested in this project, and when (if?) the next batch
of
PCB's/chips ships out I'll definitly order! I don't have any previous
(soldering) experience with this kind of thing but I'll manage.... I
am a bit confused so here is my question:

- All these posts about different casings, what is the size of the
PCB with the 16 knobs on it, so what is the minimum size for a casing?

If there is a bulk order of that slanted casing from hammond I'm in!

I'm sorry if this has already been answered somewhere, there are
quite a lot of post so I haven't read them all!

greetings to all,
 Ilja

Ok! Thanks for the quick response, I'll keep an eye on this message
board, when there are new PCBs + CHIP you can count me in! (and I
would LOVE a set of those square push buttons as well, only if you
have them of course.)

Greetings,
 Ilja

Hi Ilja,

The pots are spaced on 0.75 inch centres, so the total width is 12 inches,
or 305mm.
There are other constraints on the layout of boards on a panel.
The spacing of the pot boards above the step switch board is designed so
the two function switches line up with the step switches and upper knobs.
This will all become clearer once I get the construction notes finished -
hopefully this weekend if the heat doesn't get too much.
