I did a little PIC based standalone midi to din/din to midi convertor a few
years back. The chip from this can be added to an alternative version of the
din I/O board in order to convert the din sync output to a clock only midi
out.
I've still got a few PCBs floating around somewhere to do this if you're
interested.

The next run of boards will have 5 din sockets instead of 3. These will be
midi in, out/thru, out, out and sync. The board may well include the option
to fit a din to midi PIC for midi clock only sync as standard. The midi outs
will be the same signal in parallel, but a future mainboard may well make
them independent...

Colin f

i am, but this next bit that you wrote looks even more interesting...

future mainboard???? :) :) :)

anyway, to more immediate concerns, will there be more midi i/o boards
made than complete kits? because if so, i and probably others would be
interested in replacing our current i/o boards with the new version.

bleep.
out.

The previously discussed P3.5/P4 board.
Not likely to appear for some time.

The new board wont be pin compatible with the original header. The outs need
to have separate pins so I can separate them later.
That's not to say a custom board for the current P3s with multiple parallel
outputs cant be done - there is a custom 4 or 5 out board in one of the
ready-builts (can't remember whose right now...)
