Wel, it still doesn't work. And what's worse - I can't use the P3 anymore,
because it boots in upgrade mode :-(

I tried 3 different computers, 4 different downloads, 2 MIDI interfaces and
3 programmes to send the file.

I'm out of ideas; I hope someone can help me...

So the problem is: during the last second I get
BAD DATA
and then, after 1 second:
Code CHK Error!

Sorry for all these posts, guys.

After a - not so good - night of sleep, I can only think of 2 reasons why my
upgrade isn't working:

1. There is a problem with my P3.
2. There is something wrong with the online update.

So, to rule out option 2; did anyone succesfully use the file p3fw-3982.syx
from the files section of the Yahoo site?

Hi Gert,

There's no problem with loading V3.982. *But* as Colin just said; 
Make sure you first run the 'bootloader update.syx' in the yahoo 
files section BEFORE loading V3.982. This reorganises the P3 memory. 
There is a bootloader text file which gives instructions.
