Folks,

There's a subtle change in playlist edit in the new build, which I 
don't think I've mentioned before...

If you look at the production P3 front panel, you'll see the PART 
keys 1 to 8 (step keys 9 to 16) are also now labelled PLAYLIST STEP.
In playlist edit mode, the green/amber LED which indicates the 
current playlist step, and the knobs for transposition and repeats, 
are now aligned with these keys.

If you're using 6 or 12 bank modes, this means that the playlist 
step indicator never appears on the same LED as the selected pattern 
number - one of the causes of confusion in playlist edit.

I'd like to improve this futher, as I think it's generally agreed 
playlist edit could be more intuitive.
If there were no 3 bank mode (i.e. no need to be able to use all 16 
step keys for pattern selection) I could dedicate the PLAYLIST STEP 
keys to playlist start and end step selection, then setting a 
playlist length could be much the same as setting a part chain.
And maybe FUNC+PLAYLIST STEP could be used to toggle the chg/sync 
mode of each step, with LED colour indicating the status.
Any other suggestions to make life easier in playlist edit would be 
welcome.
