Re: [analogue-sequencer] New beta

LOL this whole thing is getting very amusing. I'm having a great time watching and listening to Paul wax profound about all the new capabilities he's finding. The hours put in on this one machine alone is very impressive. I got left in the dust with this ongoing conversation long ago. Now i can't even figure out what is being talked about. I love it!! hahah I like the "masking and unmasking" thread. I thought masks were for Halloween?? hehehe I'm still back at 2. something build 'cause i don't have a computer based software sequencer to download all the new builds. Probably all for the best 'cause i was having enough trouble with the original updates. The new ones just sounded like they would confuse me to the point of resorting to drugs. Hmmmmm LOL I think i liked this machine better when it was in it's infancy. It was much more straight forward. I like simple and straightforward. I like to be able to see what's going on and all this masking and unmasking stuff has just left me behind. IT's probably where i belong i might add. Just my sunday morning rant and it's done with a very big sarcastic tongue in cheek so don't anyone get all defensive. It's all in sport. kind regards john duval

For me it would - mostly because it feels more natural: for example if
I'm using Faeo I'd want to cancel any transposition by hitting F rather
than C.
Plus, it also makes more sense if I'm transposing one of my P3s from
the other (which works really well, BTW).

Hehe, I just set up a piece where my first P3 uses random unmasking of
events to totally reprogram the second. It decides which tracks to
record, when to switch record on and off and so on. And I plan to make
it even cleverer by preparing, in advance, aux events on the slaved P3
that change tbase, direction etc. so the resulting sequence is more
wackily ever-changing.
OK, I admit I wasn't too excited about remote control before - but I've
now realised how totally cool it is!

Sweet!

Would remote aux masking be possible? So I can use probability to mask
aux events happening on my slave P3? I guess that would mean a lot of
CCs though - especially if you add remote masking of gate/tie. Hmm,
possibly a bit complicated now I come to think of it. How about remote
knob control instead?
OK, I'll stop now. Time I got some healthy fresh air... :)
